Straight A's for both of my awesome kiddos!!! :)
I'm thrilled! Who wouldn't be? But I'm very happy because both of them have had the workload increased as well as a higher level of difficulty in their assignments.

It's so crazy to realize that I started this journey 6 months ago! It seems like yesterday and forever all at the same time. The kids have really settled into the life nicely. And, we are half way through...so right on schedule for our "year round" approach! Actually, if all goes as planned we'll have the school year completed well before Labor Day!
Oh, and after some placement testing, observing and evaluating...Genna is moving onto 4th grade spelling and reading this week. How exciting! We went to the bookstore today to buy her new books. She helped me pick!
On a funny note...she tested right on the line and could handle the 5th grade spelling with no problems. I let her make the choice and she chose the 4th grade book. I was cracking up, because either way she will learn and firm up on her phonics and still be "ahead," but, hey...she isn't stupid! LOL And since the reading comprehension will be a challenge for her, I was happy to let her slide on the spelling! ;-)
Wow! Congratulations Genna and Thomas on a job very well done! You are both doing so well! And congrats Genette for having two wonderful children who are such fantastic students!!
ReplyDeleteNice Work Thomas and Genna! Ahead of the grade? How cool! Keep up the good work guys! (and ask your mom to buy you each a new book to read for fun... how could she resist when you've both done so well!)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the great work, Genna and Thomas! (and mom) :) We love you!
